Building on its successful expansion into the European dermatology and aesthetics imaging market, Canfield Scientific is announcing the launch of Canfield Scientific s.r.l., created with the acquisition of Medici Medical s.r.l. Medici Medical is responsible for numerous innovations in dermoscopy and has produced best-in-class technology for years, making them the preferred choice of dermatologists in Italy. To celebrate the launch, Alfredo Medici and his team are conducting a special scientific and educational program called Dreamoscopy™, to provide the most advanced learning opportunities in medical imaging, at their brand-new, state of the art facility in Spilamberto (Modena), Italy.  

The Dreamoscopy educational program will feature in-person presentations by Professor Giuseppe Argenziano, Dr. Gian Luigi Giovene, and Professor Giovanni Pellacani, along with their individual case studies, to an in-person audience of over 70 dermatologists from Italy and another several hundred dermatologists attending via live streaming media.

Alfredo Medici, founder and previously CEO of Medici Medical s.r.l., is now General Manager of Canfield Scientific s.r.l., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canfield Scientific, Inc. Canfield Scientific s.r.l. will become the center for medical dermatology and aesthetic product sales, customer support and logistics for Canfield in Italy. Also joining in leadership roles from Medici Medical are Chiara Rubbianesi, who will be leading product management and customer care and Michele Bacchion, who will be responsible for commercial operations. Francesco Colella, who previously led Aesthetic sales for Canfield in Italy and will continue to support the Italian market specifically with the new company.

The new Italian operation expands Canfield’s sales and service operations and complements existing locations in Utrecht, Netherlands and Bielefeld, Germany. Canfield opened its first European office in the Netherlands in 2008 and added a location in Germany with the acquisition of Visiomed AG in 2018.
